Wartec cream (podophyllotoxin) is an effective medicine totreat genital warts, also known as condylomata acuminata. Podophyllotoxin, the main ingredient in Wartec cream, has been used widely for the treatment of genital warts. Wartec is an anti-mitotic agent i.e. it prevents mitosis (cell division process in which one parent cell divides into two daughter cells with the same characteristics as the parent cell).
