Uprima
apomorphine
Uprima (apomorphine hydrochloride) is a new medical treatment for the management of erectile dysfunction. Uprima is a central initiator that works by stimulating an erection through mechanisms originating in the brain. It is almost as effective as Viagra and has the added advantage of being faster to act since it is absorbed under the tongue and thus gets into the blood stream quicker. It usually works within five minutes of taking it, as distinct from over an hour or more that it takes Viagra to click in.
Side Effects: Generally mild and transient. As with Viagra, the most common side effects are nausea, headache and dizziness.
Impotence (or erectile dysfunction) is defined as the inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for sexual intercourse, and includes the inability to get an erection as a result of sexual stimulation or to lose your erection prior to ejaculation. Impotence does not generally include other symptoms such as lack of libido, inability to ejaculate or the inability to achieve orgasm. Although Uprima and the PDE-5 inhibitors produce the same end result, there are a number of differences in the medications.
Uprima is a flavored oral medication that dissolves under the tongue, and therefore goes to work faster because it is absorbed directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system. This means that Uprima can start to take effect within five to seven minutes - almost three times faster than Viagra!
One of the major benefits of Uprima is that it can be taken soon after a meal without reducing its effectiveness. The active ingredient in Uprima is apomorphine, which has been used for over a century to treat various medical conditions. Apomorphine has been used to treat Parkinson's disease for the past thirty years.
The normal prescribed dose for Uprima is one 3 mg tablet at least 20 minutes before engaging in sexual activity. For best results, drink a full glass of water before you take Uprima. This will help the tablet dissolve faster. IMPORTANT: DO NOT exceed 3 mg within an 8-hour period. Otherwise serious complications may occur.
