Recommended Testosterone Propionate injection dose

Testosterone is a hormone used for replacement in males who are not producing proper amounts of testosterone for various reasons. Testosterone Propionate is also used in women to treat breast cancer and postpartum breast pain or engorgement.

This medication is given by injection into a muscle, usually once every 1 to 4 weeks for low testosterone levels, or exactly as prescribed by your doctor.Dosage is based on your medical condition, testosterone blood levels, and response to treatment.

How to use and recommended dose:

  • Testosterone Propionate is given by injection into a muscle a prescribed.
  • The short-acting forms are given 2 to 3 times a week and the long-acting forms are usually given every 2 to 4 weeks.
  • Recommended dosage is 50-100 mg IM (intramuscular) 3 times weekly.
