The drug Proviron is used for balancing the loss of male sex hormone production due to the old age. Proviron is mainly used for treating hypogonadism. Proviron works by replacing the natural sex hormone with itself. Proviron is available in prescription only and is not addictive. Importantly, Proviron can be used only in male patients.
Proviron Precautions
A prostate test and blood test is compulsory before you start using this medication. It is wise to inform your doctor if you suffer from ant heart problems, kidney dysfunction, high blood pressure, migraines, epilepsy, diabetes, porphyria, etc. You should also inform the doctor about any alternative medications that you take.

Proviron also interferes with the absorption of cyclosporine drugs, antidiabetics, thyroxin and anticoagulants like warfarin.
Proviron Checklists
Proviron should not be taken if you are allergic to one or more ingredients of the drug like mesterolone. Proviron also should not be used if you suffer from prostate cancer, prevailing or past liver tumors, and high blood calcium levels. Proviron should not be used after the expiry date.
Proviron Administration
Proviron should be taken exactly as instructed by the physician and it works best if you follow the recommended dosage limit. The tablet should be swallowed along with 1 or 2 glasses of water. The tablet also should not be chewed. During the initial treatment you are instructed to take 1 to 2 tablets 2 to 3 times a day.
Missed Dose
In case if you happen to miss a dose, do not have both the doses together. If the dosage clashes, it is better to avoid the previous dose and continue with the current dose. It is also better to consult your physician in case of any doubts regarding the dosage amount.
Proviron Overdose
In case of over dose of Proviron contact your immediate emergency ward for the treatment.
Precautions While Proviron Usage
When you use Proviron, regular examinations of the prostate gland are essential and in rare cases, non cancerous or cancerous liver tumors have been observed due to prolonged use of this type of hormonal drug. It is wise to inform your doctor if you suffer from abnormal abdominal complications which do not subside over time. Proviron is not meant to be shared with others.

Proviron Storage
Proviron should be stored at temperature between 15 to 30 degree Celsius, away from heat, light and moisture. Proviron also cannot be stored in the bathroom. Keep the drug away from children and pets.

Expired medications should be thrown away and the contact the doctor regarding disposal of unexpired medications.
